Every restaurant page has the same layout: a sidebar on the left and a header along the top.

The Sidebar

The sidebar lists every page of the current restaurant, grouped by task. What you see depends on your role. Staff members see fewer pages than owners and admins.

Collapse or expand the sidebar with the icon at the left of the header, or press ⌘ B on Mac and Ctrl B on Windows.

Switch Restaurants

The box at the top of the sidebar shows the restaurant you are working in. Select it to open the list of all your restaurants, then select another one to switch. The same menu has an Add new restaurant option.

Search

Select the search box in the header, or press ⌘ K on Mac and Ctrl K on Windows, to jump to any page by name. Type part of a page name and press Enter.

Header Buttons

• Documentation: opens this guide. Links inside the guide then open the matching page of your restaurant.
• Feedback: tell the Grubbitt team what works well and what should be better. See Reviews and Feedback.
• Sun or moon icon: switch the dashboard between light and dark mode.
• Your avatar: open your profile, account support, or log out.

Tables, Search, and Filters

Most pages show a table of records, such as orders, menu items, or invoices. These tables all work the same way:

• Search: type in the search box above the table. Each page says what it searches, for example order number, customer name, or phone.
• Filters: select a filter button, such as Status or Category, and tick the values you want. Select a ticked value again to remove it.
• Sort: select a column header to sort by it. Select it again to reverse the order.
• Pages: use the controls under the table to move between pages or change how many rows you see.
• Row actions: select the three-dot menu at the end of a row to edit or delete it.

Dates and Times

Every time you see in a restaurant follows the restaurant's timezone, not your device's. This keeps daily totals correct when you check in from another city. Set the timezone in Settings.
