Team Access
Invite the people who work at your restaurant and give each one a role. A role decides which pages they see and what they can change.
Open Members under Configuration in the sidebar.
Roles
| Role | Best for | Can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The person who created the restaurant | Everything, including transferring ownership and deleting the restaurant |
| Admin | Managers | Everything an owner can do except transferring ownership and deleting the restaurant |
| Staff | Waiters, kitchen, counter | Live sessions, orders, tables, and recording payments on invoices. Staff can view the menu and categories but cannot change them, and do not see money figures on the dashboard |
There is exactly one owner per restaurant. Give people the smallest role that lets them do their job.
Invite a Team Member
- Select Invite member.
- Enter the person's Email Address. They must sign in with this exact address to accept.
- Choose the Role: Admin or Staff.
- Select Send invitation.
The person receives an email with a link. When they select it and sign in, they join your restaurant. See Sign In and Your Account for what they see.
Track Invitations
The Invitations table at the bottom of the page lists every invitation with its status:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Sent, not accepted yet |
| Accepted | The person joined |
| Revoked | You cancelled it |
| Expired | 7 days passed without acceptance |
For a pending invitation, open the three-dot menu to:
- Resend invitation: sends a new email and restarts the 7 days.
- Cancel invitation: the link stops working.
Expired invitations cannot be resent. Send a new invitation instead.
Change Someone's Role
- In Active members, open the three-dot menu on the person's row.
- Select Change role, pick the new role, and select Save.
The change applies the next time the person loads a page. You cannot change your own role. The owner's role cannot be changed here. To make someone else the owner, transfer ownership.
Remove a Team Member
Open the three-dot menu on the person's row and select Remove from restaurant. They lose access at once. Their past actions, such as orders they placed or payments they recorded, stay in your records.
You cannot remove the owner. If you are the owner and want to leave, transfer ownership first.
An admin can select Leave restaurant on their own row to leave.
Transfer Ownership
Only the owner can do this, from the Settings page:
- Open Settings and scroll to Ownership.
- Select Transfer.
- Choose the New owner from your current members. If the person is not listed, invite them first and wait for them to accept.
- Type
TRANSFERin the confirmation box and select Transfer ownership.
The transfer takes effect at once and cannot be undone by you. You become an admin of the restaurant: you keep every permission except transferring ownership and deleting the restaurant.
