Plans and Limits

Every restaurant runs on a plan. The plan decides which features are available and sets limits on how much you can create.

What a Plan Controls

Features that a plan can include or leave out:

  • Online ordering: guests order from the QR menu.
  • Invoicing: create invoices and record payments and refunds.
  • Payments: online payment by guests once a payment provider is connected.
  • Menu appearance: change the colors of your guest menu.

Limits that every plan sets:

  • Number of tables
  • Number of menu items, and a matching number of categories
  • Number of admins and staff you can invite
  • Orders per month
  • Storage space for logos and menu photos

Your Trial

You get a trial on the first 5 restaurants you create. Each trial lets you set up and test the full flow before you choose a plan. When a trial ends, the Grubbitt team assigns your paid plan.

A restaurant after that has no plan until the team assigns one. Open a support ticket so they can attach a plan.

When You Reach a Limit

When you try to add something beyond a limit, the app stops you with a message that names the limit, for example Your plan allows up to 20 tables. Nothing you already created is affected. Delete what you no longer need, or move to a bigger plan.

Owners and admins can check how much of each limit is used in the Plan Usage panel at the bottom of the Dashboard.

The orders per month limit is different: it counts every order placed in the current calendar month at your restaurant, including cancelled orders. When the limit is reached, guests see a message at checkout and cannot order until the next month starts or your plan changes. Staff cannot place orders either.

Features Not in Your Plan

A page or switch for a feature your plan does not include shows a lock or a Plan locked badge. For example, Menu Appearance shows a lock, and the Online Ordering switch in Settings cannot be turned on. Everything else keeps working.

Check Your Plan

Open Settings and look at the Features section. Its description names your current plan.

Change Your Plan

Plans are assigned by the Grubbitt team. To upgrade, downgrade, or ask a question about billing:

  1. Compare plans on the pricing page.
  2. Open a support ticket from your restaurant's Support page, or write to hello@grubbitt.com. Say which plan you want.
  3. The change takes effect as soon as the team applies it. No restart or setup is needed on your side.
