Set Up Your Restaurant

Set up the restaurant before sharing a QR code with guests. The workspace stores its own timezone, currency, tax settings, menu, tables, and team members.

Create the Restaurant

From the dashboard, select Add new restaurant. Enter the restaurant name, timezone, and currency. These settings shape how your team sees schedules, reports, and date-based records.

Select the restaurant timezone carefully. Grubbitt uses it to group orders and invoices by local day.

Prepare for Service

Complete these tasks before your first service:

  1. Add tax classes that match your local rules. See Tax Classes for details.
  2. Create menu categories and menu items
  3. Add each table in the restaurant. See Tables and QR Codes for details.
  4. Generate and print the table QR codes
  5. Invite your team members

Check Your Guest Journey

Scan one printed QR code with a phone. Confirm that the correct restaurant and table load, the menu appears as expected, and an order reaches the live order board.
