Connect AI Tools
Connect an AI tool such as ChatGPT or Claude to Grubbitt, then ask it questions in plain words: "How did sales this month compare with last month?" or "Which dishes sold the least last week?" The AI tool reads your data to answer. It cannot change anything.
What an AI Tool Can Read
Once connected, an AI tool can read these for every restaurant where you are an owner or admin:
- The dashboard summary and the five reports: sales, items, taxes, payments, and tables
- Orders and invoices, including guest names, phone numbers, and emails
- Menu items, categories, add-ons, service charges, and tax classes
- Tables, live sessions, reviews, team members, and pending invitations
It cannot place or update orders, issue invoices, record payments, edit your menu, or change any setting.
Dates follow your restaurant's timezone, the same way they do on the Dashboard and in Reports.
Copy Your Connector Address
- Select your avatar in the top-right corner of any page, then select Profile.
- Find Connected Apps and select Copy next to Connector address.
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors.
- Select Add custom connector, paste your connector address, and save.
- Select Connect. A Grubbitt page opens.
- Sign in if asked, check the list of restaurants, and select Allow Access.
Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Apps.
- Add a new app or connector, paste your connector address, and choose OAuth sign-in if asked.
- A Grubbitt page opens. Sign in if asked, check the list of restaurants, and select Allow Access.
The names of these menus change from time to time. If you can't find them, search the AI tool's help for "custom connector" or "MCP".
Disconnect an AI Tool
- Select your avatar, select Profile, and find Connected Apps.
- Select Disconnect next to the tool, then confirm.
The tool loses access on its next request. To use it again, connect it from the AI tool.
