Tables and QR Codes
Every table has its own QR code. When a guest scans it, the menu opens with that table already selected, so every order shows which table it came from.
Open Tables under Operations in the sidebar.
Add a Table
- Select Add table.
- Enter a Table Name / Identifier. Use the name printed on or near the table, such as
Table 4orPatio 2. - Enter the Capacity in persons.
- Leave Slug empty unless you want a specific short name in the menu link. It fills in from the table name.
- Keep Active Status on so the table accepts orders.
- Select Save.
Repeat for every table. You can also create many tables at once when you set up the restaurant. See Set Up Your Restaurant.
Print a QR Code
- Select the table name in the list, or open the three-dot menu and select QR Code.
- The QR code appears with the menu link under it. Choose one of these:
- Print: opens your browser's print dialog with the QR code, your restaurant name, the table name, and the words
Scan to view Menu & Order. - Download: saves the code as a PNG image. Use it in your own table card or menu design.
- Copy (the icon next to the link): copies the menu link. Useful for testing or for sharing the menu of one table.
- Print: opens your browser's print dialog with the QR code, your restaurant name, the table name, and the words
- Print one code per table and place it where guests can see it.
Take a Table Out of Service
Set a table to inactive when it is closed for repairs or not in use:
- Open the three-dot menu, then Edit.
- Turn off Active Status and select Save.
An inactive table's QR code stops opening the menu, and the table cannot start a live session. Turn Active Status back on to restore it. Use the Status filter to see active or inactive tables.
Edit or Delete a Table
- Edit: open the three-dot menu and select Edit to change the name, capacity, slug, or status. Changing the slug changes the menu link, so reprint that table's QR code afterwards.
- Delete: open the three-dot menu and select Delete. Its QR code stops working at once. A table that has had orders cannot be deleted, to keep your sales history complete. Set it to inactive instead.
Renamed Your Restaurant Link?
Every QR code contains your restaurant's URL Slug. If you change the slug in Settings, every printed code stops working until you reprint them. The settings page warns you before you save. See Restaurant Settings.
