Terms of Service
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These terms are a contract between you and Grubbitt. By creating an account, accepting an invitation to a restaurant, or using the platform, you agree to them. If you use Grubbitt on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that business, and "you" includes the business.
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and forms part of these terms.
2. The Service
Grubbitt is a platform for running a restaurant. It lets you publish a digital menu behind table QR codes, take orders from guests, manage live table sessions, create invoices, record payments and refunds, run reports, and give your team role-based access. It also offers AI-assisted menu import and theme generation, and support tickets.
We may add, change, or remove features. When we remove a feature you rely on, we tell restaurant owners in advance.
3. Your Account
You sign in with a link we email you, or with Google or GitHub. Your account is created the first time you sign in. Keep the email account you sign in with secure: anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in link. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
Give us accurate details and keep them current. Do not share your account or sign in as someone else. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us at once.
4. Restaurants and Teams
The person who creates a restaurant is its owner. The owner can invite admins and staff, change their roles, remove them, transfer ownership, and delete the restaurant. Admins can do everything except transfer ownership and delete the restaurant. Staff can run service: orders, tables, live sessions, and payments on invoices.
As an owner or admin you are responsible for the people you invite. Give each person the smallest role that fits their job and remove people when they leave. Members see the restaurant's data according to their role, including guest details on orders and invoices.
5. Plans, Trials, and Billing
Every restaurant runs on a plan. The plan decides which features are on, such as online ordering, invoicing, and menu appearance, and sets limits on tables, menu items, categories, team members, orders per month, and file storage. The app stops you when you reach a limit and names the limit. When a restaurant reaches its monthly order limit, guests and staff cannot place orders until the next calendar month or a plan change.
The first 5 restaurants you create each start on a free trial. Our team assigns paid plans by hand after you ask for one through a support ticket or by email. Prices for each plan and billing cycle appear on the pricing page. Applicable taxes are added to the price. We confirm the price, billing cycle, and payment method with you before a paid plan starts.
A plan runs for the period you agree to. If you do not pay, or your plan ends without a new one, the features that plan enabled stop and your data stays in place. Fees already paid are not refunded when you cancel early or delete a restaurant, unless the law says otherwise.
We may change prices. A price change applies from your next billing period, and we tell you at least 30 days before it does.
6. Your Content
You own the menus, photos, logos, descriptions, and other content you upload. You give us permission to store, display, and process that content to run the service, including showing your menu to anyone who opens your restaurant's menu link.
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload, including photos of dishes and your logo. Content must not be illegal, misleading, or infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content that breaks these terms and suspend the account responsible.
7. Guest Data
Guests give your restaurant their name, phone number, optional email address, and order notes when they order, and they may rate their meal. You decide how you use that data and you are responsible for using it lawfully. Use it to serve the guest, resolve issues with their order, and keep your accounts. Do not use it for marketing without the guest's consent, and do not sell it.
We process guest data on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. If a guest asks you to correct or delete their details, you handle that request and we help where you need it.
8. Payments Between You and Your Guests
Grubbitt records payments; it does not move money. Guests pay you directly, for example in cash, by card, or by UPI, and your team records what was received. Any dispute about a payment or refund is between you and your guest.
9. Tax and Invoicing
You are responsible for the tax rates, tax classes, tax identifiers, and rounding settings you configure, and for the accuracy of every invoice you issue. The platform calculates tax from your settings and does not give tax or accounting advice. Check your setup with your accountant before your first service.
10. AI Features
Menu import reads photos of your menu and suggests items, prices, and categories. Theme generation turns a description into a color palette. Both are suggestions: review every item and price before you save, and check the palette is readable. We are not responsible for errors in AI output that you publish.
You can import a menu from photos up to 3 times and generate up to 5 themes per restaurant in any 24-hour window. Only upload photos you have the right to use.
11. Acceptable Use
Do not:
- Use the platform for anything illegal or fraudulent
- Upload malware, or content that is hateful, harassing, or infringes someone's rights
- Work around plan limits, daily caps, or access controls, or share one account between people
- Scrape, copy, or probe the platform, or test its security without our written permission
- Send unsolicited messages to guests using data you collected
- Overload the service or interfere with other restaurants' use of it
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where practical, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
12. Support
Open a support ticket from a restaurant's Support page or from your account menu. To resolve a ticket, our team may view your restaurant's settings and records and open your account the way you see it. We aim to answer every ticket, but we do not promise a response time unless your plan says so.
13. Availability
We work to keep Grubbitt available around the clock, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, faults, and events outside our control can cause downtime. Where we can, we schedule maintenance outside peak dining hours and announce it in advance. Keep a way to take orders and issue bills if the platform is unavailable.
14. Ending the Agreement
You can delete a restaurant from its Settings page at any time. This removes its menu, tables, orders, invoices, payments, reviews, and files for every member and cannot be undone. Print or export any invoices you need first. To close your account, transfer or delete the restaurants you own and then contact us.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if we must for legal reasons. If we stop offering the service, we give restaurant owners at least 30 days' notice and time to export their records.
15. Disclaimers and Liability
Grubbitt is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect losses that arise from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. We post every version on this page with its date. For a material change we email restaurant owners at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using the platform after that date means you accept the new terms.
17. Contact Us
If you have a question about these terms, contact us. You can also write to hello@grubbitt.com.
